We had a great time at your place, thank you very much! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food in the restaurant was wonderful, and the breakfast was plentiful. The wellness department is well-furnished, a pleasant place! The service is impeccable and professional, very kind!

Lovely, modern, comfortable hotel at a great price

Top, modern accommodation with lovely rooms and bathrooms. The Munkacsy Hotel is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in, while travelling Europe. Great value and breakfast is traditional Hungarian.

Unfair attitude

Thank you for destroy our calculations and ruining our anniversary! :) They wanted to change our already booked reservation a few days before because of an event. It's not too fair... The offer to stay one more hour is also not enough comensation. I'm sad beacuse the kitchen is really good in this place. Be careful with the reservation, they can change it anytime. :(

Deep dissapointment

Although the wellness hotel is advertised as a wellness department closed for months for unknown reasons.
As compensation, free admission to the Békéscsaba spa is provided, but the quality difference between the Munkács wellness and the Békéscsaba spa is indescribable.
The quality of the spa evokes the 80s with its most horrific memories!
Because of this, hotel compensation is incomprehensible, disappointing and outrageous!
Management’s responsibility is a lack of communication and looking stupid at guests. I will never visit Munkácsi again!
Deep disappointment, sorry for this great hotel!

Super clean, modern hotel, beds are too hard.

Munkácsy is a lovely, modern, clean hotel with parking (for free). The room is clean and nice, except that there was no decoration (no pictures) but everything was modern and functional, quite comfortable. Except the bed. It was VERY hard and I could not sleep at all. As we had a suite, I tried the sofa in the living room, but it was just as hard as the bed. That put a damper on my experience. The restaurant had some really nice dishes. As a severely lactose intolerant person, I particularly appreciated the indication of lactose on the menu. What I was less impressed with, however, is that I could not eat hardly anything on the menu. There was one appetizer and one main dish I could choose (if I liked them) and no dessert. That is hardly a choice... The waitress had an attitude, so I did not press the issue with her. If beds would improve, I would be happy to go back and would gladly recommend Munkacsy to others. But for now, I am hesitant....
