Had a great time at the Shanghai Jingan Pullman. Ryan, who checked us in, was awesome and upgraded us to a full suite with a really lovely bathtub. Watch for the weird steps and changes in elevation (which I think is a china architectural thing overall), though. The light switches were a little confusing as well, but otherwise place was super clean and modern looking.
They will give you as much bottled water as you want too, if you ask. We had the do not disturb sign on but asked them to restock some stuff for us while we were gone, and the sweet housekeeping lady tried to speed-run cleaning the whole place while the room was a wreck with our exploded suitcases...
Location was great, too, next to Shanghai train station and easy access to subway.

This hotel is my go-to when I need to travel by train from Shanghai station.
It's a nice hotel and right across the street from Shanghai station.
I believe they might have upgraded the elevators, because it seems they are moving quite a bit faster than they did in the past.
Biggest downside this trip, is that there is construction in the building next door so it was quite noisy during the day, but that will be temporary.

I was back again at this hotel and it's one of my go-tos in Shanghai. The hotel is nice, breakfast is good, rooms are nice, and important for me it's right across the street from Shanghai train station. The metro exit is right next to the hotel making getting around in Shanghai very easy.
The one thing I don't care for is the elevator system. For whatever reason it is very slow, so if you are on a high floor sometimes you will need to wait quite a while for an elevator. But this is only a minor inconvenience compared to the benefits.
