Everything was perfect except the AC got shut down at night making it hot and unable to sleep. On informing the staff they told they would take care of it. However, the next day it was naturally cold, and we did not have to use the AC

Total lack of interest on the part of staff.

A MESS!!! They cancelled the reservation one day after my trip, I had to go out to make a reservation in another emergency place, they had already confirmed the place a month ago, they did it without offering me help or some solution, beware of this establishment that cancels reservations just before the trip!!!

I'd like to give this a higher review but unfortunately I had a couiple things stolen from me. Luckily they were expendable, including some hair gel and a full bag of walnuts, but it makes me wodner what worse could have happened if I had left my passport of wallet out, or did not bring a padlock with me for my locker. Made me not feel very great. However, the laundry service, staff (shoutout Eliot), free breakfast, and loung area made up for this fault. It is also near El casco viejo, but it requires a good walk up a hill. But grocery storee is nearby which is super appreciated. Bring your own towel because you have to rent one here.

They have BEDBUGS.

They have BEDBUGS. The hygiene is extremely below par. They only provide a mattress cover and a single sheet, no pillow case. They do NOT clean the beds, they wash the sheet, and then recycle the duvet by just putting it on a different bed (no cleaning at all). The beds are not cleaned at all. The showers were only cleaned once when I was there (4days), even though all dorms were full. Nothing of the dorm was actually cleaned, only vacuumed (at 9 in the morning with a full dorm)

I WOULD NOT RETURN EVEN IF THEY PAID ME

A HOSTEL HORROR
A friend and I stopped at this hostel and it was horrible. The first night we spent there, my friend woke up with her entire BODY FULL OF BITES and she politely mentioned it at reception so that they would take it into account in case it could be scabies or bedbugs... At reception the only answer they gave her was that they would change her the sheets, my friend accepted. That same night we left through Bilbao and arrived at the hostel at 2 in the morning and when we entered the security guard was waiting for us in the dark inside. HE INCREASED US and asked my friend why she had told her partner about the bites, that there were no bugs in that hostel. My friend tried to explain to him, actively and passively, that she got up from that bed stung and that the only thing she did was give a warning as a precaution. The boy insisted and started talking in a bad way, he didn't let us leave and he even confronted my friend. The situation seemed SURREAL to us. I went to accompany my friend to the bathroom because she was AFRAID to go alone with the guard hanging around after what had happened, and when I was going to enter the bathroom with her the guard, who was chasing us, didn't leave me and turned us back. to rebuke him with the same thing in the bathroom hallway, he even told me "I do boxing" to further violate the situation. Anyway, that night we were afraid in case he came into our room and said or did something to us. You can see that this boy is not well at all.
Otherwise, dirty toilets and shabby and poor breakfast. Also in the morning you can hear all the noises, they play loud music and they enter your room without warning.
I would never return...
