Excellent location for the Alhambra

Hotel practically attached to the entrance of the Alhambra, therefore in an excellent location for those who want to go see it. About 300 meters from the hotel there is a bus stop that goes directly to the center.
Our room was very spacious and clean, but the decor is definitely very dated and not up to a four-star standard. The pool is located on the third floor and is ideal in the afternoon when temperatures in August are really high.
Overall, it is a hotel that I would recommend.

Fawlty towels

Great location. Guided tours for Alhambra leave from the hotel steps. Reception staff and particularly the manager are quite rude. His attitude seems to rub off on the staff. He literally threw my towel deposit back at me rather than hand it over in a civilised manner. A very “Basil Fawlty” experience. Bar staff were nice, polite and helpful as were cleaners. Room like a shoe box (prison cell), very dated and tired (not up to Premier Inn standards). Bar does not trust you to run a tab, must be paid immediately. Need cash deposit for pool towels. Breakfast OK, but no saucers for coffee. Cutting corners at every step. Definitely not four stars!

Good morning, we are very sorry that we did not meet your expectations.
Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to meet you, nor to rudely return any deposit. In any case, we will review the staff who were on duty and try to ensure this does not happen again.
Payment is collected at the time of arrival, as is practically the case everywhere in the world, and especially in hotels. We have many guests and cannot be like police officers following them around.
I know it may seem like distrust, but many guests get up and leave without asking about payment.
The same goes for towels; if a deposit isn't requested, people take them or leave them anywhere. If everyone were polite, there wouldn't be so many problems.
I would also like to inform you that if you are not happy with the room assigned, you can let us know, and if we have something better to offer you, we will.
Thank you for everything, and we invite you to return to our facilities. You will have no problem realizing that we are a great hotel.

It was ok for lower end. Sometimes the staff seem like they don't want to help you or not interested.
The pool was nice and kids liked it but the pool bar often no staff.
A few times I tried ordering from cafe but they did not have many items available. We did enjoy our time but nothing too special about this hotel.

Generally it’s a very good hotel, only 5 minutes walk from Alhambra.
The city centre is about 15 minutes away, but buses are available almost every 5 minutes in both directions , very handy indeed.

Average hotel

The positive points: the view, the bedding, and the location near the Alhambra. For the rest, the breakfast is clearly not good with poor quality products, the rooms are a bit worn. In short, the hotel is not up to what is shown on the sites.
The welcome is impersonal, we do not recommend the hotel because of poor value for money.
