Really bad hotel (avoid it at any cost)

We came here in the summer with some of my friends, but the conditions in this hotel are unaccaptable. You have to pay a lot for the AC but the bathrooms got no window so the steam ends up in the room.

BEWARE OF THE BED BUGS!

I booked a room in the hotel last-minute after driving for 16 hours. I just needed a quick sleep for me and my family (2 adults and a dog) before continuing the driving. I was given a ground floor room, spacious, with a spare bed for the dog, so initially I was very happy with it. That was until I woke up in the morning and found blood stains on the bed sheets and literally thousands of bed bugs under the pillows and blankets. When I reported about the problem, the receptionist was not surprised at all, and he offered me to change the room, but we were already on our way, so I got my money back instead. This, however, is not enough. I haven't seed so bad condition anywhere in the world, and believe me, I travel a lot! This is not acceptable for a hotel inviting families with kids and pets! Now I returned home, but I still live in fear that some of the bed bugs might have infested my luggage and could have come home with me. Terrible! This place should be shut down and inspected before having guests ever again!

Nice little hotel but needs updating

We booked this hotel knowing about its location to the city centre but please be aware if you expect a quick straight forward trip into the city this probably isn’t the place for you.
The room was a double and very spacious. The bed was reasonably comfortable although one of the mattress springs had slightly pierced through. The heating was on all through the night with no option to turn off.
The bathroom was good but the bath and sink had no plug and the shower head had no wall fixing so it was all made a bit awkward.
We didn’t eat at the restaurant or have breakfast so cannot give a review.
All in all a nice place that just needs updating and certain features bringing up to scratch.

Disappointed.

Unfortunately, our stay in the hotel has ended unpleasantly. We had to pay the receptionist the overnight fees while we had already paid for it but he could not find the bill. He asked us to pay again and, if it turned out that we had already paid, he would refund the money. The receptionist has called us a few times to apologize and with the promise that he would pay the money, but that never happened. I had paid him cash without invoice so booking.com can't do anything. I recommend to pay this hotel when you check out and request an invoice.
